This study investigates the factors influencing employees' intentions to enroll in a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program in Ghana, with a specific focus on the mediating role of habit. The purpose of this research is to assess the role of habit. The research design involves a random sample of 250 employees from Ghanaian organizations, who completed an online survey assessing their attitudes and perceptions towards BYOD adoption. Structural equation modeling (SEM) is utilized to test the research hypotheses and analyze the relationships between variables, including the mediating role of habit. The key findings indicate that Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, and Hedonic Motivation are significantly related to the adoption of BYOD. Moreover, habit is found to mediate the relationships between these factors and employees' Behavioral Intentions (BI) to adopt BYOD. The results highlight the importance of considering habit factors in understanding employees' intentions and behaviors regarding BYOD adoption. Based on the findings, recommendations are provided for organizations to promote the hedonic aspects and costsaving benefits of BYOD, establish clear policies addressing security concerns, and foster positive habitual behaviors among employees. These recommendations aim to enhance the adoption of BYOD programs and optimize the benefits while mitigating the challenges associated with BYOD adoption.
