In this study, 15 participants from a West African organization participated in interviews and surveys. The themes that emerged from the data analysis were organization conflict, cultural diversity, cultural competency, and the effects of nationalism and ethnocentrism on diversity management. The interview and survey data analysis revealed challenges and opportunities to achieve organizational objectives. These challenges include implementing policies that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in an organization. Leadership strategies for diversity management may fail, decreasing worker satisfaction, retention, organizational success, and the representation of women and minorities in senior positions.
