It specifically examines the dynamic effect of deposit interest rate, inflation, monetary policy rate, growth of money supply and stock prices (All Share Index) on the level of bank deposits. The dataset for the study consisted of quarterly data spanning the years of 2000 to 2013 gathered from the Bank of Ghana (BoG) monetary time series database and the World development Indicator (WDI) database. Employing a Co-integration analysis and Fully Modified Ordinary Least Square (FMOLS), both short and long run elasticity’s of the model are estimated. The preliminary test for unit root indicated that all the variables are integrated of order one (an I (1) process) and the cointegration revealed the presence of one co-integrating equation. Empirical findings form the study indicates a significantly negative short-term impact of both inflation and growth of money supply of bank deposits in Ghana. The long-run effects of the various independent variables on bank deposit are also discussed. Some of the variables conformed to priori expectations, albeit insignificant. Appropriate measures are also recommended based on the findings thereof. Today, the unbounded nature of the internet has facilitated computer-mediated communication. The emergence of mediated communication tools such as QQ, Wechat, Whatsapp etc have eventually drifted the attention of a whole generation from making phone calls to text messaging. We sampled 1823 students from 15 tertiary institutions across the ten regions of Ghana to answer a question designed on the UTAUT 2 model. Our objective was to determine the distinctive factors influencing the adoption and use of these computermediated communication tools among this category of respondents and the presence of intervening mechanism with their identifiable effects. We noted that the odds ratio of 1.751 and a confidence interval of 95%, suggest that females were more likely to use computer mediated communication tools than their male counterparts at a confidence interval of 95%(Sig= 0.002). Similarly, the age group (18-25 years) were 0.726 more likely to use computer mediated communication tools than elderly ones and this was statistically significant at 95% confidence interval (p-value= 0.000). Similar significant values were recorded for all the items of UTAUT 2 and perceived convenience. Using a panel regression model, the study found a significant negative relationship between firm size and leverage as well as growth and leverage. According to Opondo (2004), most studies has examined the determinants of profitability of firms considering variables such as capital structure, cash liquidity, firm size, and financial leverage in other countries but however, much has not been done in the Ghanaian context. This study assesses the determinant of financial performance of listed manufacturing firms in Ghana. The study used quantitative research approach and explanatory research design. Purposive sampling technique was used to select eight manufacturing companies out of the total population of thirteen listed manufacturing firms. The study used only secondary source of data (audited financial statements) for five year period, from 2011 to 2015. Also, correlation analysis was used to assess the collinearity between the dependent variables thus Return on Equity (ROE) and Return on Asset (ROA) and the independent variables such as financial leverage, cash liquidity, firm size, inflation and exchange rate, while the regression analysis indicates the effect of the independent variables on the dependent variables. The result highlighted a negative significant relationship between financial leverage and ROE and ROA. Also, cash liquidity recorded established a positive insignificant relationship of ROE and ROA. Firm size establishes a positive significant relationship of ROE and ROA, inflation establish a significant negative relationship of ROE and ROA and also, exchange rate volatility establish a significant negative relationship of ROE and ROA.
