This study characterized these improved varieties (Ampong, Broni bankye, Sika and Otuhia) together with some traditional varieties (Amakuma and Bankye fitaa) for their nutritional properties and cyanogenic potential (toxicity). The proximate composition, mineral content and cyanogenic potential were determined using standard methods. The different cultivars had moisture content (33.14-45.86%), protein (1.17–3.48%), ash (1.71–2.34%), crude fibre (1.38-3.20%), fat (0.74-1.49%) and carbohydrate (83.42-87.35%) and these varied significantly among cultivars. Mineral contents were 0.60-1.60, 1.35-1.58 and 1.06-2.13 mg/100g for Ca, Mg and P respectively, and 0.16-0.24, 0.021-0.030, 0.04-0.13, 0.25-0.36 and 0.25-0.37 mg/100g for Fe, Mn, Zn, K and Na respectively. Cyanogenic potential ranged from 0.08-0.12 mgHCN/kg. Wide variations exist in chemical composition of the improved and traditional cassava cultivars but all possess safe levels of cyanogenic potential and thus safe for human consumption. Basically, the researchers identified the factors influencing cyberloafing within some Ghanaians organizations and critically analyse the impacts of cyberloafing behavior on both employee performance and organization. The researcher examined the determining factors and consequences of cyberloafing behavior, identified the factors at the origin of cyberloafing and then investigated on the controlling measures as a toll for management to eradicate to the phenomenon. The factors that can justify cyberloafing behavior vary from one place to the other. The main factors influencing cyberloafing were found as individual factors, organizational factors, and situational factors. Among the multitude of individual attitudes and behaviors in the workplace, personality traits seem to be the focusing area of many scholars to explain the behavior and might be used in this research as well. The examination of individuals’ prexisting tendencies can provide the proof that the internet is misused. The research was based on one main source of data, quantitative research approach, thus, primary and secondary sources of data collection were used to help identify the result of the study. The primary data sources include collection of data from certain organization in Ghana. Data collection was through the use of questionnaires. Secondary data were obtained through supportive material and research works from text book, articles, report and other electronic sources as well as those from the University library and international journals available online which were a great support for this study. The data analysis were done through one sample t-test to assess cyberloafing prevalence and employee performance, while path coefficient analyses were used to assess factors influencing cyberloafing and its impacts on employee performance. The result revealed that there is a relationship between cyberloafing and employee performance. Further studies also demonstrated that cyberloafing was having a great impact both on employee performance and organization. Matured yam varieties grown and harvested under the same climatic and edaphic factors were obtained from the Roots and Tuber Conservatory Division of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research-Plant Genetic Resources Research Institute, Bunso Ghana. Samples were processed into flour and the pasting characteristics along the length of each variety were determined using Brabender Visco-amylograph (Brabender Instrument Inc. Duisburg, West Germany) equipped with a 700 cmg sensitivity cartridge. Significant differences (p< 0.05) existed among the yam varieties for their pasting characteristics. However, no significant differences were observed in the pasting profile along the tail (T), middle (M) and head (H) regions of each tuber. Pastes from flours of D. rotundata had high maximum and final viscosities (333.5-384.5 BU and 343.5-404.0 BU respectively). Breakdown viscosity was low (< 10 BU) in all the studied varieties, except D. dumetorum (54-71 BU). The findings from this research will be relevant to yam producers and processors in programmes aimed at developing new food/industrial processing applications using Ghanaian yams. Functional properties such as water absorption capacity, swelling power and solubility index were determined using standard analytical procedures. Significant differences (p< 0.05) existed among the yam varieties for their colour and functional properties. Flours of D. bulbifera and D. dumetorum had an attractive yellow colour while flour of D. esculenta recorded the highest whiteness (L= 84.09). D. esculenta had the highest swelling power (9.4%) and solubility index of 27.6%. No significant difference was observed in water absorption at 27 C and 70 C for all varieties except D. dumetorum. D. dumetorum flour had relatively high water absorption capacity of 295.9% in water at 27 C and 189.4% in water at 70 C.
