It was also to establish how donations have impacted the collection development of the library as well as service delivery. Study participants comprised of one (1) Head Librarian and four (4) assistant librarians. The face-to-face interview method was employed as a data collection instrument for this study–content analysis was used to analyse the data. The findings indicated that even though there was a collection development policy to regulate acquisitions, the policy was not of much use due to the economic situation in the country and low budget allocation to the library. Findings also revealed that the University library hardly receives donations. Findings again indicated that this library lacks adequate resources to serve its clients. It was recommended that librarians of GCTU should be proactive in soliciting for donations from alumni, corporate bodies, international organizations and philanthropic organizations to supplement purchases for better service delivery to users. It was also recommended that management of the GCTU library should lobby for adequate funds to purchase needed resources. However, the evidence remains largely scanty, isolated and devoid of an in-depth analysis of how some economic policies promote agribusiness development in mainland China. Using time series data from 1990 to 2013, this paper adopts semi-parametric quantile regression to study the complex relationship between institutional policies in rural areas and agribusiness development. The study revealed the role of family household in promoting agribusiness development at the higher quantiles of the distribution. Moreover, government investment in rural health and education contributed significantly across the quantile distribution. The impact of research and development on agribusiness development is positively significant across the quantile points of the distribution within the study period. The result from the quantile graph clearly shows the disparities between OLS and quantile regression coefficients. The study further explores the factors of work life balance practices that should be implemented through policy to enhance employee commitment and reduce turnover intentions. The study sampled one hundred and thirty five (135) employees from a tertiary institution in Ghana. Quantitative data was collected through the administering of questionnaires and data was analyzed using SPSS. Findings indicate that although WLB has a strong and negative relationship with employee turnover intentions, it does not contribute to employee commitment. It was also observed that among the WLB practices, schedule flexibility has a stronger impact on employee turnover intentions. The study focused on employees in the tertiary education sector and thus the research findings cannot be generalized across the educational sector nor other economic sectors in Ghana. Management should focus on practicing work life balance in their organizations so as to ensure better commitment in organizational activities and also to prevent employees from quitting. Further, managers should try to continue improving the conditions of work for their employees since it significantly discourages employee from quitting. The study makes a significant contribution to the concept of WLB and its direct impact on employee outcomes.
