Eleven fish ponds with stock ranging between 7-21 days were randomly selected and sampled at monthly intervals for five months, with the aim of capturing water quality patterns through a full production cycle. Seventeen parameters were measured and analyzed using Partial Least Squares (PLS)-Path Modeling. Most ponds had unusually shallow depths, characterized by excessive stocking densities of 200% on average above recommended rates. This necessitates high feeding rates, thereby reducing the assimilative capacity of ponds. The effect of feeding intensity on water quality increased with stock age. Persistent algal blooms, low DO, high temperatures and elevated levels of ammonia, nitrite, phosphate, TDS and conductivity were indicative of generally poor water quality. The model showed that 82% variability in water quality was due to production inputs. Standard stocking rates, feeding rates and construction of deeper ponds are recommended. Panel data for the period from 2008 to 2019 was used for the analysis. In the study, liquidity was proxied by the current ratio, while the debt ratio was used as a surrogate of capital structure. Additionally, return on equity (ROE) was employed as a measure of sustainability. This indicator was used because of its flexibility as it can be applied to any line of business or product. From the results, the studied panel was cross-sectionally independent. Furthermore, the series were first differenced stationary and cointegrated in the long-run. The elasticities of the predictors were determined through the generalized method of moments (GMM) estimator, and from the results, liquidity proxied by the current ratio improved the entities’ financial sustainability. In addition, capital structure surrogated by the debt ratio promoted the financial sustainability of the establishments. Moreover, the interaction between capital structure and liquidity advanced the corporates’ financial sustainability. Size, growth, and operational efficiency were significantly positive determinants of the sustainability of firms, but asset tangibility had a trivial effect on the entities’ sustainability. Ghanaian researchers are happy about data richness and they are also concerned about data quality. In this paper Item Response Theory (IRT) has been used to identify the most appropriate IRT model for understanding item. The techniques are appropriate and practical. A questionnaire data on Ghana collected in the 5th wave of the World Values Survey was used for the analysis. The five categories of survey questions that are most difficult to answer by respondents were Life Related Questions, Value Related Questions, Political Related Questions, Income Related Questions and Democracy Related Questions. Missing or ‘don’t know’responses were assigned a 0 score, and 1 was assigned to answered items. The data was analysed based on four IRT models namely, the constrained Rasch model, the unconstrained Rasch model, the two parameter logistic model, and the three parameter logistic model. These models were explored to determine the most appropriate model for the data. In this paper, the unconstrained Rasch model emerged as the best model for understanding item non-response. We found that, income related questions had the highest difficulty parameter, hence the most difficult category of survey questions to answer. It was also found that, if an individual does not answer a survey question or give a ‘don’t know’answer, it is not only because of the question’s difficulty but also because the respondent doesn’t want to answer. The aim of this study is to assess the impact of compliance/noncompliance on Public Procurement Delivery (PPD). From literature reviewed, a conceptual framework was constructed using compliance/non-compliance variables for Effective and Efficient Public Procurement Delivery (EEPPD). A mixed method approach (qualitative and quantitative) was adopted for this research. The data collected was then analyzed using SPSS version 20. Kendall Tau correlation was further used to establish the relationship between the compliance/non-compliance variables and a hypothesis test was conducted using Chi-Square. The study found out that, Political Interference had a negative impact on Value for Money, Fairness and Transparency. However, for Media Publicity, Professionalism, Organizational Culture, Familiarity with Rules and Regulations as well as Effective Monitoring the effect was positive on Value for Money, Fairness and Transparency. Additionally, Political Interference and Media Publicity had a negative and weak correlation on Value for Money. Correlation between Political Interference and Professionalism was positive and weak on Value for Money and Transparency with same results for correlation between Political Interference and Familiarity with Rules and Regulations on Value for Money. Political Interference and Organizational Culture however reported a negative and neutral correlation on Value for Money but positive and weak on Fairness. The study therefore recommended that, this model be operationalized due to its robustness to measure and test the efficacy of the objectives outlined in the Public Procurement Act.
