Various mitigating factors tend to stifle or prolong their quest to be successful in their endeavors. Hence it is against this backdrop that this study explores protracting trials of SME success in Ghana. A descriptive research design was adopted using questionnaires and a sample size of 1346 SME’s in the Metropolis districts in the four regions of Ghana. Structured questionnaires containing open and closed-ended questions were used in obtaining information from 1346 SME’s in the Metropolis, Municipalities and Districts in Ghana. This method involved three steps. The first step was developing a series of values acknowledged by SME’s. The second step used generalized types to express each value. The third step organized the acknowledged value and indicated their relationship. Based on that study, we developed an assessment model for protracting trials encountered by SME’s in procuring their dayto-day activities. The results designated the main protracting trials encountered by SME’s, and ordered based on their degree of importance, as “Financial Constraints"," Domestic Demand"," Loan Repayments"," Lack of Entrepreneurial Skills"," Equipment & Technology"," International Markets"," Regulatory Constraints" and" Legal". This means managing working capital is important for the smooth running of a firm. Giving the significance of working capital, this paper examines the effect of working capital management on listed manufacturing firms in Ghana based on quantitative analysis of stock market data. A five-year data was sourced from the financial statements of twelve (12) manufacturing companies listed on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE). The profitability ratios; Return on Asset (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) were computed, as well as the components of working capital, which were used to calculate Cash Conversion Cycle. The Cash Conversion Cycle (CCC) was used to measure working capital, whereas the profitability ratios were used to determine the companies‟ profitability. We observed that whereas 9 firms have statistically significant relation between CCC and profitability, the rest of the firms had an insignificant relationship. Communicative language teaching together with the principled eclecticism approaches was adopted to teach reported speech in English language. Reported Speech was selected as a sample topic because it has been found to be one of the most difficult topics for Anglophone and Francophone students. It was uncovered through this work that acquisition of language skills together with communication is concomitant of social interaction. It was found that the common fault with inexperienced students is to confuse past and present tenses. Three systematic communicative language teaching approaches were employed as panacea for rampant consistent/continuous errors in observance of the sequence of tenses in reported speech in English language. Learners were assessed at the end of three months teaching and learning by reporting a concession statement of Nana Akufo Addo in 2012 to ascertain their mastery of indirect speech. The results revealed that through constant systematic pedagogical measures, learning difficulties are drastically surmountable. It was found through administration of survey questionnaires that only a handful of the respondents had entrepreneurial and educational ambitions or goals after their University education.
