                <text>The community-based health planning and services (CHPS) programme was rolled out as a nationwide strategy to deal with the health challenges faced by Ghanaians, especially those in the rural communities, in the year 2000. However, more than a decade after its introduction, the CHPS programme is facing challenges with its implementation, particularly in the Greater Accra region. The objective of the study was to review the CHPS programme in the Ga East and West Municipal Assemblies and explore successes and constraints to its implementation in these districts. This was achieved by using an exploratory study design, which employed the dual approach of the quantitative and the qualitative methodology and involved the testing of four hypotheses which have been gleaned from the literature. The study found that in those places with on-going CHPS programmes, there is statistically significant evidence that: the implementation process is not flawed (p&lt;0.001), mobilization of resources for the programme is adequate (p&lt;0.001), the monitoring and evaluation of the programme is effective (p&lt;0.001) and the health status of the communities with functional CHPS has improved (p&lt;0.001). However, the study revealed that the major underlying factor limiting the successful implementation of the programme is the numerous chieftaincy disputes in the communities, which impede the community entry process of the CHPS programme. Also, the community health volunteers and the community health management committee members are not committed to the programme due to lack of financial support for their activities. The CHPS programme is making an impact in the communities; nevertheless, for a more effective realization of its objectives, it is recommended that the long community entry process be shortened and the volunteers be motivated with a token allowance to facilitate their activities to further improve healthcare delivery in the communities.</text>

                <text>The objective of this study was to investigate the impact of foreign direct investment (FDI) on economic growth in Ghana, by examining the effect of FDI flow, FDI stock and FDI per capita on economic growth. The study adopted the quantitative and descriptive research design to analyse annual time series data on the dependent and independent variables spanning twenty-seven (27) years from 1996 to 2022. The ordinary least square and seemingly unrelated regression techniques were used for data analysis. The study revealed that FDI flow, FDI stock and FDI per capita had a statistically significant positive effect on per capita economic growth. The study thus recommended that the government of Ghana should intensify its efforts to carefully develop and implement progressive and attractive policies that can induce more investment from foreign multinationals, thereby increasing the stock of external capital inflows that can be channelled into the most value generating sectors of the country to eliminate production inefficiencies and boost domestic output that can increase economic growth. Additionally, the government of Ghana through the appropriate agencies can improve the enforcement of its regulatory policies to ensure that multinational firms and the general activities of foreign investors consistently provide fair and commensurate wages to Ghanaian workers, in order to promote the beneficial effects that FDI has on reducing income inequality in Ghana.                 <text>The upstream oil sector the major source of government revenue for natural resource rich countries. Though the sector is a highly lucrative one, which plays a key role in the growth and development of a country, the sector is a highly capital intensive one. Thus, most developing countries are unable to raise the required investments to develop these resources. These developing must thus engage International Oil Companies (IOCs) in developing the resource. Existing literature suggests that most fiscal systems/ regimes do not enhance state’s take in the agreements drawn because they are liberal to encourage the FOCs/IOCs to invest their scarce but huge capital in this capital-intensive activity.&#13;
The study reviewed theories concepts and findings from prior studies in the subject area. Prior studies revealed that Ghana has employed a hybrid fiscal regime comprising of product sharing and a concessionary system to regulate petroleum projects. Key instruments adopted in Ghana’s fiscal regime include royalties, carried interest, additional oil entitlements and corporate income tax. The study further reviewed petroleum regulations governing petroleum activities in the country.&#13;
The study delves into the methods and instruments used in analyzing the data gathered for the study. Financial models including the Net Present Value method, payback period, internal rate of return and return of investments were used in assessing the efficiency of Ghana’s fiscal regime. The study revealed the weakness of Ghana’s fiscal regime in yielding optimum returns from the nations’ oil resource. The analysis of Net Present Value and the Internal Rate of Return of cashflows for a ten year period (from 2008 to 2017) from the jubilee field generated according to the terms of Ghana’s fiscal regime, was the least when compared to the Net Present Value and the Internal Rate of Return, when the terms of fiscal regimes of Equatorial Guinea, Norway and Nigeria. The Payback period for Ghana’s fiscal regime was found to be among the regimes with the lengthiest payback countries among the selected fiscal regimes. The results reveal that Ghana is realizing only a small portion of its potential revenue from oil production.&#13;
The study recommends that Ghana’s government must embark on an exercise to review legislations regarding upstream petroleum activities and pass necessary amendments to suit current trends in upstream petroleum activities. The review and amendments of these regulations should be focused on optimizing the returns from oil exploration, development and production.</text>

Primary data was obtained from 67 employees at the Export Finance Company Ltd. Secondary data was obtained from the EFC’s audited financial statements, spanning a five years period, 2013-2017. Data analysis procedures such as descriptive statistics applying percentages, charts and use of the relative importance index method as well as regression analysis was performed on the obtained data. The Statistical Package for Social Scientists (SPSS) software was used in the analysis.&#13;
The findings revealed that, Export Finance Company Ltd. has extensively used all the four components examined in this study. Segregation of duties (authorizing, processing, recording and reviewing) and clear authorization and approval procedures are the two most followed control activities at the Export Finance Company Ltd.&#13;
It also became apparent from the findings that, the recommendations made for the improvement of processes by the internal auditors as well as the weaknesses in the internal control systems that are addressed with the internal audit report are the two most significant internal audit benefits at the Export Finance Company Ltd. Regarding the reporting activities, the study found that the ability of respondents to communicate appropriately to their supervisors is the most imperative reporting activity at the Export Finance Company Ltd. The use of ICT has been tremendous in the organisation as the results revealed that their services are promoted through their website. The organisation also encourages e-procurement activities which led to an improved operational performance. The regression results shows that control activities, internal audit activities, reporting activities and ICT functions are key determinant of operational performance at Export Finance Company Ltd.</text>

                <text>Mobile banking is a new banking medium which allows users to conduct financial services at any place and at any time through mobile devices. Banks in Ghana through partnerships have&#13;
implemented mobile banking services in order to provide affordable and convenient banking services to its users. However, there are concerns raised pertaining to the challenges users face in the adoption of mobile banking services which needs to be addressed else much results will not be achieved despite the huge investment and efforts mobile banking service providers put in. This research examines the challenges in the adoption of mobile banking services in Ghana by extending the renowned framework of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The study&#13;
employed a cross sectional survey design. Data for this study was collected through a structured questionnaire in townships around Accra Metropolitan Area. The research revealed that customers will consider adoption mobile banking as long as it is perceived to be useful and easy to use. The study also revealed that performance risk, social risk, financial risk, security risk,&#13;
perceived trust and perceived cost have significant effects on the adoption of mobile banking services with the exception of time risk which was found to have no significant effect on mobile&#13;
banking services adoption. The most critical challenges customers face in the usage of the service were network problems, security/privacy concerns, lack of trust of third party agents and the lack of proper regulatory systems. It was also developed that the issues pertaining to reliable connectivity, utilization cost and fraud risks if reduced to the barest minimum will make the use of mobile banking services more attractive.&#13;
