The biochemical composition and starch pasting properties were evaluated respectively using standard analytical methods and Brabender Viscoamylograph. Cluster dendogram and principal component analyses compared similarities in the nine cassava varieties, thus predicting their varied food and industrial end uses. The different cassava varieties had starch, total sugars and reducing sugars content ranging from 53-69%, 6.5-9.2% and 0.9-2.5%, respectively. The starch content of the cassava varieties on dry weight basis (DW) varied from 54.0% to 69.0% with Nalumino having the lowest and Mweru having the highest respectively. Tanganyika, Mweulu, and Banguerlu also recorded relatively higher starch content of 62.7%, 63.6% and 63.6% respectively. Mweru, Tangayoka, Mweulu, and Bangweulu had fairly high starch content (> 60%) and thus could be used for many commercial products such as starches, alcohols and glucose. The viscoelastic properties of the different varieties had pasting temperature (63.5–67.6oC), peak viscosity (402–595 BU), viscosity at 95oC (394–592 BU), viscosity at 50oC (126–254), breakdown viscosity (236–352 BU) and setback (-100–4 BU). To attain this, a literature review was conducted followed by a quantitative survey. The survey assessed the view of 115 respondents from the department in three states (Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta) of the Niger Delta Region. One sample t-Test analysis conducted showed significance value obtained as 0.000 (which can also be interpreted as 0.0005) for all the variables in this study, and it is lower than the standard alpha value of 0.05 (p 0.0005 < 0.05). Therefore, it is proven that: gas flaring is a serious and current issue in the Nigerian oil and gas sector; gas flaring impacts the Nigerian economy and environment negatively; measures have already been implemented by the Nigerian government to address this issues but the measures are somewhat limiting; the DPR is making conscientious efforts towards reducing and potentially eliminating gas flaring in the Nigerian shore, and more efforts need to be put in place in the form of extra measures for addressing the issue of gas flaring in the country. It was recommended that while Nigeria has made conscientious efforts towards attaining the zero-emission targets, the present situation doesn’t suggest the feasibility of this target and more efforts should be applied. In conclusion, further studies were recommended to cover the entire Nigerian sphere instead of focusing on the Niger Delta Region and to evaluate more variables aside from the ones evaluated in this present study. Today university’s nowadays use e-learning modules to support their education systems. Yet still most researches do not consider multiple stakeholder perspective when dealing with topics on e-learning. Some studies only focus on a single stakeholder among the main categories of stakeholders thus learners, lecturers, administrators. In addition, some literatures also miss the multi factor of the adoption of e-learning which is the technological organisational and environmental. This study therefore discusses the antecedent and the consequences of the e-learning and uses the TOE framework to explore the approach from the multiple stakeholder perspective on the adoption. The study used quantitative approach for the survey which focused on two universities in the developing countries which have adopted e-learning with a total number 350 stakeholders (students, lecturers and administrators). Means and standard deviation, multiple regression and correlation were all used for the analysis of data. The study originality is the multi-stakeholder perspective with a multi-dimensional framework (Technology, Organisation, Environment and Nature of Course) approaches to the study of elearning adoption in a developing country. In contrast the Utilities companies are under pressure and confronted with an array of challenges including ageing infrastructure, high expectation from consumers, inadequate investments, high operational power losses and no being able to attain full cost of electricity sold. It is against this background that this research is carried out to study asset maintenance processes which are currently being practiced in the distribution companies and whether they are up to the best international standards and moreover whether they are capable of meeting the ever increasing expectation of their customers. Methodology deployed in the study included sending a well structural questionnaire to at least half the operating areas and regions of ECG and NEDCO based on a purposive sampling technique with enquires spanning from strategy techniques, to planning organizational structure human resources material management, to use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) to health and safety issues among others. Data was also collected on their reliability of the network Results of study indicate that the current asset maintenance practice of all seven areas centre around stabilising and preventive regimes with very little variations among all of them. This is mainly due to similar structures and methods being implemented by virtue that they are under two main umbrella state controlled organizations. Moreover following the research, although a lot has being done to raise the standard of assets maintenance, current practices will never allow them to achieve the expected standard unless drastic measures are put in place for them to move away from the classical approach of maintenance to a more aggressive and predictive.
