The importance of capital structure cannot be over emphasized since it impacts on firm’s value. Capital structure choices have had significant impacts on shareholders wealth. The study investigated the impact of capital structure on the profitability of Oil Marketing Companies (OMC’s). With regards to the firm’s capital structure, the study employed short-term debt to total capital, long-term debt to total capital and total debt to total capital in comparison with return on assets (ROA), return on equity (ROE) and net profit margin (NPM). The study employed secondary data and the data was analysed using multiple regressions. The result reveals that short term debt to total capital, long term debt to total capital, total debt to total capital, firm size, and sales growth, have varying and mixed relationships with profitability in terms of return on asset, and return on equity of the Oil Marketing Companies (OMC’s). The study recommend that companies implement due diligence in considering debt financing decisions, to come out with the best possible financing blend which will maximize profitability for their companies. It is, however, important to find out the extent to which the addition of cowpea affects the desirable quality characteristics of traditional weaning foods prepared from fermented maize and also to assess the effect of dehydration method and storage time on the chemical, physico-chemical and functional properties of the products. A 3 x 2 x 4 factorial experiment with cowpea level, drying method and storage time as the respective variables was done. The traditional weaning food was prepared by steeping maize in water for 24 hours, mixed with cowpea and co-milled into a meal. A 50%-moisture dough was made with the addition of water and fermented for 24 hours. The product was dried using solar drier (40-60 C for 72 hours) and oven drier (60 C for 8 hours), and packaged in polypropylene bags prior to the analysis. Proximate analysis, pH, titratable acidity, fat acidity, water absorption and cooked paste viscosity were monitored over six months under tropical ambient conditions (28 C, RH 85-100%). Cowpea addition caused only minimal changes in the studied indices with the exception of protein content, which increased from 10.54-14.34% and 10.71-14.42% with 20% cowpea level, respectively, for the solar and oven-dried products. The delays are caused by many factors which are basically project management related challenges coupled with other external factors Albert P. C. Chan et al (2004). Construction project delay is also seen as a worldwide problem in project delivery and Ghana has received its share. Numerous efforts by researchers and construction project management professionals to confront this problem have not yielded satisfactory results. Delays have a great and undesirable impact in terms of quality, cost and risk in construction projects. The aim of this study was to investigate and identify the effects of delays on project quality within the construction industry in Ghana. In attaining the aim of the study the following specific objectives were advanced, one, to find out the factors that causes delay in construction projects, two to assess the effect of the delays on the quality of construction projects, and three to establish a relationship between delay of projects and quality of projects. The study adopted a quantitative structured questionnaire survey by targeting five selected construction companies within Accra and Tema. Respondents were selected by the quota sampling technique. Out of the One Hundred and twenty (120) questionnaires distributed, eighty (80) were retrieved from respondents sixty-seven percent (67). Relative Importance Index and Severity Index were used to analyze the data collected. The study revealed that, three main causes of delays that affect project quality were: Scope, Procurement and Human Resource factors. These three factors composed of 18 indicators ranging from financial resources, delays in honouring payment certificates, poor supervision, underestimation of the project duration, poor communication among stakeholders, challenging designs, environmental conditions, complexity for developers to access bank credit or loans, poor planning, material price escalations, poor data collections and documentations and project selection process or procedures. In concluding, the following measures were promoted for effective construction delivery that will eliminate delay and promote quality work: Proper scope definition and planning, establishing fasts on the financial liquidity of project sponsors, agreed terms and specifications, proper communication channel quick payment schedules agreed by all the contracting parties. The adoption of technology, technological enhancements and inclusion, facilitation of customer experiences and satisfaction through the provision of digital banking services is seen as one of the key strategies to provide bespoke services to customers. The aim of this research was to assess the effects of digital/electronic banking services and products on customer satisfaction in Ghana using Ecobank Ghana Limited as a case study. Quantitative data was collected through a survey from a sample of 200 respondents and analyzed quantitatively. Findings indicated that digital banking products/services are internet banking, mobile banking and ATM products and services. Respondents indicated that they most often use a combination of traditional and digital banking although the findings also indicated that the use of electronic banking services are on the high. ATM (β = 0.310) systems were found to be a very good predictor of customer satisfaction, which was statistically significant (p=.000). This indicates that any increase in ATM products and services there is a 31% increase in customer satisfaction. Internet banking reveled the highest correlation with customer service followed by security which had coefficients of 0.799 and 0.713 respectively. Also, mobile banking revealed the strongest relationship with security at 0.668 whiles ATM Debit/Credit cards had the correlation with customer service 0.697. these indicate positive effects of electronic banking products and services on customer satisfaction. The findings of the study make it clear that that digital banking leads to customer satisfaction. This is quiet outstanding as the digital industry seems to still be in its growth stage. The findings basically provide evidence that with continuous growth and investments banks can have more satisfied customers and also, banks can reduce operational costs through automation of tasks as indicated by some earlier researchers. Future research could adopt a more qualitative or mixed methods approach to gain in- depth understanding of the issues raised as well as to further clarify some of the situations observed within the study.
